My love for music instruction and performance started at age four in Cedarburg, WI. After early piano lessons with a neighbor and from my mom, I spent years learning on my own from chord sheets and developing a strong ear for music. This self-driven passion led to formal piano and voice training through middle and high school, ultimately inspiring me to share the joy of music as a lifelong career.
I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin (2014–2018) with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in both Music and Education, with a minor in Theatre. While there, I performed in multiple choral ensembles and received private training in both piano and voice. I also was involved both as a performer and stage crew for many theatre and music theatre productions on campus and in the community. For the past seven years, I have taught Elementary General Music for grades K-6. I developed curriculum, creating engaging lessons, and designing and directing concerts, and even co-taught an after school Art and Music club I designed with the school's Art teacher. I love helping learners of all ages step past their comfort zones to discover confidence and success through music.
I am an active performer for weddings, funerals, church events and special events across the community. I enjoy the local open mic scene and was honored to win first place in Blueburg Cafe's 'Best of Blueburg' competition as both a solo artist and a duo with my husband. Currently, I share my talents at my church, playing piano, singing, and exploring various string instruments. In my spare time I am recording an album of original music, experimenting with my loop station, gardening, hiking, and baking an abundance of sourdough bread!
I believe that one of the greatest gifts we can give another person is to recognize their potential and help them grow into who they were made to be. Music is an innately human experience and a powerful medium through which we can inspire growth, connection, and transformation.
Music plays a vital role in developing emotional regulation and expression, creativity, a sense of identity and belonging, and the neurological connections that support learning and development. More than an artistic discipline, music is a powerful vehicle for personal growth. Research suggests that sustained musical engagement can strengthen cognitive skills while nurturing confidence, perseverance, emotional awareness, and a sense of community.
No matter who you are, music has a place for you. Whether you need music to help tell a story on a special day, you want to polish an audition piece, or simply desire the joy of making music while growing in confidence and skill, I would be honored to be part of your journey.
